Richmond, B.C. (June 13, 2018) – OpenRoad Auto Group, B.C.'s largest automotive retail group is proudly announcing the addition of McLaren Automotive, the British creator of luxury sports cars and super cars, to its already impressive luxury vehicle roster. OpenRoad Auto Group is now the only retail partner for McLaren Automotive in the Pacific Northwest of the United States. OpenRoad recently acquired Bentley, Lamborghini, Ferrari and Rolls-Royce Motor Cars in Bellevue, Washington making this the company's fourth U.S. brand and the company's 22nd dealership.
The expansion of its North America area retail network in the greater Seattle area reinforces the strong connection between the brand’s high-performance vehicles and technology.
“We are delighted to be representing McLaren Automotive in this very important market in North America,” added Christian Chia, President and CEO at OpenRoad Auto Group and McLaren Bellevue. “The building work to deliver the facility is underway and once complete, it will be a flagship dealership befitting the McLaren brand. Our interim facility will allow us to serve current customers and followers of McLaren and welcome those who have not yet had the opportunity to experience McLaren products first hand.”
McLaren Bellevue will eventually be based at a brand-new, luxurious facility which will break ground this summer. Once complete, the state-of-the-art showroom will feature the latest visual identity of the iconic British brand, together with a spacious display area and a dedicated workshop facility. In the meantime, McLaren customers and fans in the region are encouraged to visit the temporary, showroom located at 1882 136th Place Northeast, Bellevue, Washington.
“Our deep base of both existing customers and potential customers makes Seattle and the Pacific Northwest a natural choice for McLaren’s newest North American dealership,” said Mark Maakestad, General Manager at McLaren of Bellevue. We’re thrilled to be able to provide a localized point of sales and service experience so that the region’s supercar owners are spending minimized time away from their vehicles.”
Having previously developed iconic cars including the McLaren F1, McLaren Automotive was founded as an independent global car company in 2010. The British manufacturer of luxury, high-performance sports cars develops and utilizes technology and learnings from five decades of race-winning success.
